Welcome to East Troy
Basketry
East Troy Basketry is located in the quaint little country town of East
Troy, Wisconsin. Just off Interstate Hwy 43 in Southeastern Wisconsin, ETB is within
easy driving distance of Milwaukee, the Chicago area, Beloit and Madison.
East Troy Basketry has been in business for over 15 years. Over the past 5 years, our
inventory and selection of weaving supplies, patterns and accessories has quadrupled.
Today, East Troy Basketry offers the most complete line of top quality basketry supplies,
kits, patterns and classes in a 5 state area (maybe more but we havent checked out
many of the states west of us).
We offer only the highest quality and freshest materials we can find from the most
reputable sources available.
One of our most unique items is our fretwork basket
bases. We have two woodworkers who make every possible type of base including over 50
different designs of fretwork bases available only at East Troy Basketry.
We offer classes 5 days a week to all levels of
weavers. We have 3 instructors on staff. Several other local teachers provide
classes regularly and nationally renowned guest teachers come to East Troy Basketry every
4-6 weeks. In the past 5 years we have hosted Jill Choate from Alaska, Cathryn Peters from
Minnesota, Flo Hoppe and John McGuire from New York, Patti Hawkins from Alabama, Anne
Coleman from Kentucky, Regina Riley and Marlys Sowers from Iowa, Lisa Herout, Ann Krumpos,
Linda Johnson, and Susan Eckles from Illinois, Cass Schorsch and Kathy Tessler from
Michigan, Marla Helton, Karen Griffith and Sherian Cody from Indiana, Lyn Siler from North
Carolina, Judy Wilson from Georgia and Marlene Meyer, Tressa Sularz, Pam Talsky, Sandy
